Today instructors Ko Sehwan and Klaas Barends passed the technical part of their sixth dan test in the Netherlands.
On Sunday July 5 instructors of our schools in the Netherlands received their official certification of the World Hankimuye Federation. These already seasoned instructors had followed a eight hour course of master Ko Baek-yong who currently is staying in the Netherlands.
Chongmukwan in the Netherlands will host a Hankido Festival on May 30 with master Ko Baek-yong. The festival will take place in the new dojang of Chongmukwan.

The last training in IJsselstein was attended by students from every corner of the country. We had a great time with master Ko Baek-yong explaining the harmony principle. One last group photo and it was time to say good bye. Looking forward to our next international seminar all ready.
After Wim successfully tested for his 4th dan in the afternoon, we practiced Taichi and Hankumdo with the instructors of the Dutch HKD Federation (NHF) at night.
Today Wim van der Linden passed his 4th dan test. Wim tested for this instructor grade in front of masters Ko Baek-yong (9th dan), Leon de Heus (7th dan) and Ko Se-hwan (5th dan).
On Wednesday we visited Amsterdam. After a walk along the canals and shopping for some souvenirs it was time to teach a class with the students of Chongmukwan.
On this rainy Tuesday we first visited a children’s HKD camp. The camp was organised by two Dutch schools. The kids enjoy a week of games and martial arts at a ‘kampeerboerderij’ (camping farm).
During the day we practiced with the Dutch instructors in IJsselstein at the headquarters of the Netherlands HKD Federation. In the evening it was time to perfect our kicking techniques. Lots of spinning and low spinning kicks.
